We started a new Collab with Multi-instrumentalist Rena Jones from the States. Check out this preview that is formed out of the "Ymadyn" track from the "Sploid EP".

There will be an EP, released tru the webshops in the near future. Rena Jones slips through the veils of defined sound.

I'm stoked to hear what the fans do. Might even get one of my own in. prepare thyselves.

Ill get a submissions engine for members up next weekend, so dont burp out remixes as fast as... well... as fast as Don and Roel.  Grin

Thanks for the welcome!

It's SOLID to be apart of what you guys do.  Especially as a long time addict, contributing towards future projects while giving you guys a greater sense of where your supporter's head space is at in terms of sound for the ever evolving genre.

In the back of my mind I was thinkin' it would be difficult to bring some of the older material back into light.  That's cool, I can imagine y'all having a lot on the plate to deal with [besides, all thats been pumped out recently is keeping everyone going smoothly I'm sure]. "Nicely" done with Bion Glent v2 btw!

Primarily wanted to convey that some of the older stuff would be damn fine re-worked into the style your droppin' these days [when possible].  Even if they sneak in as snippets into some of the new material  Grin

Screed Reasched & Swame Deff are a fine start for me.

Much Respect

CO

Like the term stems.

Anyway, just up them to samsdump and then I can create secure links and promo the shit on frontpage. Need to do that rework on the frontpage anyways. I imagine this would be up in a few days. If you want it done another way or just your own thing let me know however.

My dj set on the First Filtered Forms party in Heerlen "Nieuwe Nor".

Grab it!!!!

Dubstep. It's moving the world, even storming the Americas to become the number one floor filler in points around the globe. Inside this ever broadening form sub genres are sprouting up like wildfire, with the stepverse taking on everything from being the new "electronic heavy metal" to the glitched "jazz step". Inside this, spiraling from its intense growth, there is a need to separate the weeds from the wheat, as with any flooded trend.

Following the genre since its inception, combining his long built dj and musical sensibilities with his 20 plus year relationship with the dancefloor and its culture, Roel Funcken feels the form at its core and distills the pure back for the motion. In his work with step - and hearing what is coming through the current systems - he feels the need to generate this distillate in synchronicity with the tribe maintaining the genres true spirit, and he's not alone in this. Coming through the sieve he drops the work of NL talent blending with the finest in the global scene (DJ Plus (nl), Herrmutt Lobby (be), Astroposer (nl), Pete Concrete (nl), Ard Bit (nl), SPL, Bulldogs, just to give a glimmer on the spectrum), the artists who take the time and effort to build real quality for the floors, to guarantee the motion by applying their full skills to enjoyable, fresh and dynamic work, never taking the easy way out with monotonous one liner cop outs, dropping the full to earn the stamp and give the floor what they want.

Step live takes skill and progressive mixing techniques to maintain floor energy, perfectly placed drops and refreshers blended with a constantly dynamic foundation, that's the key and that's Roels method. Using digital mixing techniques (midi controllers) and applying the skill of a producer who has over 50 albums and eps on labels around the world under his belt Roel can confidently give what is required to make the night come alive. For a residency he brings with him some of the aforementioned NL acts to create a crew that can give solid blends in whatever time format the venue wants, such as a monthly event.

If you feel that you need to refresh your dubstep presentations, bring in this crew and see what we can do for your floor, you will not be disapointed. With a longer term relationship the possibilities will expand as a custom tailored show feeds your crowd what they want, the filtered forms.

The more older material most of it i dont have in Stems.

Some of the older tracks are in 2 stems on MD somewhere.
So i need to take my time to search for that cause its a shitty job (8D)

So its more easy to start of with a bit more recent material.

I see Chris and Larry  mention "Raud" and  also El Jay named Holdgaze.

Start with these and I'll upload the stems here (or a link to it).

And Mister C.O.

the easy ones are Screed reasched, Swame Deff?
Would that be cool?

Later

Roel

Be welcome to the carnival CO! Yup, there's def no limit to the output! Wink

Ill repoint the funcken eye to this thread, got a couple of days here were i'm hoping to do some more on the site, plus i imagine a new ep for cane might launch next day or two (might be wrong).

As all things on the site, we're building up to a solid system here, and a lot of things get ping ponged around, but i'm sure you'll see them come to light. I can guarantee that the remix plan is still on, from the unfinished Bluent project for Roel Funckens Vade, to new Funck trax and classix. Hey maus, drop a Bluent monster here, you can get the multis at roelfuncken.com.

I just have to devise a simple media uploader here so that the system can recieve submissions, like to keep it localized. In regards to the mix projects, maybe don/roel will report in soon for this. (yes you two, igor is yelling from the basement)

I'm guessing this will be an on going reproach.  After much indecision, I've summed down to the following [classic for the most part]  Funcken material I've craved to hear re-tweeked or spun entirely [hopefully not limited to just 'Karma]   Grin

• Screed Reasched - [ 'Karma ]

• Clan - [ Quench ]

• Vampire - [ Shadow Huntaz ]

• Soccermummy - [ 'Karma ]

• Supaspees - [ 'Karma ]

• Stranded - [ 'Karma ]

• Lawk - [ 'Karma ]

• Fudge - [ Quench ]

• Swame Deff - [ 'Karma ]

• Tive - [ Quench ]

• Fuse - [ 'Karma ]

• Slug - [ 'Karma ]

• Gravity - [ Quench ]

• Sin - [ Quench ]

• Wiert - [ 'Karma ]  - Been waiting for years on this one... entire Part.4 actually Wink

After listening to the entire library of material again, I gotta say... if you guys manage to do with Quench what you're doing with Funckarma [re-tweeks] and ascend "even higher"  Shocked? I'd last well into the next decade and take this morbid planet in stride!

May the creativity continue to flow!
